ATTIVITÀ LETTORATO LINGUA INGLESE PER GLI STUDENTI del CdL SCIENZE FORMAZIONE PRIMARIA MAGISTRALIS - ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES, STUDY SKILLS & SEMINARS – Dr. E. Guerin

The activities listed below take place from weeks 15th . Feb. to 31st. April 2021. These are activities to help you improve your English language competence & feel confident using English. Consultation for English studies for all CdL SCFORM students – Thurs. 17.00 – 19.00

Here you can discuss difficulties you have with materials & get feedback on your work 

Orientation & Study Skills for English studies (CdL SCFORM students) – Wed. 10.00-12.00

Get advice for difficulties you have with Learning, Grammar, Using spoken/written English & Study Skills.

SEMINARS Feb. – April 2021 - This a series of seminar sessions – Tues. 17-19 (YOU choose what to follow)

1. Making sense of Spoken & Written English 1

Part 1 of an introduction to understand why it is difficult to connect English spelling of words & pronunciation.

2. Making sense of National & EU documents related to Language Learning 1

Basic introduction to national & EU Reference Texts related to Language Learning, teaching, assessment.

3. Making sense of Spoken & Written English 2 (continued)

Part 2 of understanding why it is difficult to connect English spelling of words & pronunciation & vice-versa.

4. Making sense of EU documents related to Language Learning 2 (continued)

Part 2 of understanding national & EU Reference Texts related to Language Learning, teaching, assessment.

5. Making sense of Spoken & Written English 3 (continued)

Part 3 of understanding why it is difficult to connect English spelling of words & pronunciation & vice-versa.

7. Build & consolidate English lexis (7.1 – 7.5)

These seminars help you build & consolidate basic lexis & pronunciation in personal & educational domains.

HOW ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES WORK: These c. 16hr-courses help you improve your English – regular attendance is recommended - the more you follow, the more you learn 

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES: Feb. – April 2021 (ongoing short online courses throughout this period)

Basic Spoken Interaction (BSI): Moving from CEFR Level A2 to CEFR Level B1 – Wed. time 17.00 – 19.00

This course helps you build confidence with expressing your ideas in spoken English without anxiety 

Developing Written competences (Writing): CEFR Level A2 - B1 – Mon. time: 17.00 – 19.00

This course helps you build confidence with expressing your ideas in written English without anxiety 

Phonology 1a (Phon 1a) – Mon. & Wed. time: 15.00 - 17.00

This course works on the perception, distinction & production of basic sounds in English, how phonemics and writing represent them; it helps you to understand with rhythm, how to decode & pronounce English words.

Phonology 1b (Phon 1b) – Tues. & Thurs. time: 10.00 -12.00

Le attività elencate di seguito avvengono online da metà febbraio a fine aprile 2021. Sono attività offerte gratuitamente all’interno del CdL Scienze Formazione Primaria per permettere agli studenti di migliorare le loro competenze in Lingua Inglese e per farli sentire più sicuri di sé nell’affrontare l’insegnamento della lingua nella scuola del 1° ciclo. 1. Making sense of Spoken & Written English (Capire il rapporto fra forma scritta e orale Inglese) 1

Part 1 Introduzione per capire perché è difficile collegare lo spelling e la pronuncia delle parole in Inglese.

2. Making sense of National & EU documents related to Language Learning (Capire I documenti di riferimento nazionali ed europei per l’apprendimento linguistico) 1

Introduzione ai documenti di riferimento per l’apprendimento, insegnamento e valutazione delle lingue.

3. Making sense of Spoken & Written English 2 (Capire il nesso fra forma scritta e orale Inglese 2)

Part 2 del capire perché è difficile collegare lo spelling e la pronuncia delle parole in Inglese & vice-versa.

4. Making sense of EU documents related to Language Learning 2 (cont.)

Part 2 esaminare documenti di riferimento per l’apprendimento, insegnamento e valutazione delle lingue.

Eliminare l’ansia e acquisire sicurezza nell’esprimere e scambiare idee usando Inglese 

Developing Written competences (Writing): CEFR Level A2 - B1 – Mon. time: 17.00 – 19.00

Eliminare l’ansia e sentirsi sicuri nell’esprimere le idee scrivendo in Inglese 
